Опитвам се да получавам туитове с помощта на библиотеката twitter4j за моя java проект. При първото ми стартиране получих грешка относно сертификата sun.security.validator.ValidatorException
и sun.security.provider.certpath.SunCertPathBuilderException
. След това добавих сертификат twitter чрез:
C:\Program Files\Java\jdk1.7.0_45\jre\lib\security>keytool -importcert -trustcacerts -file PathToCert -alias ca_alias -keystore "C:\Program Files\Java\jdk1.7.0_45\jre\lib\security\cacerts"

След много часове опити да създам сертификационни файлове, за да накарам инсталацията си на Java 6 да работи с новите сертификационни файлове на Twitter, най-накрая се натъкнах на невероятно просто решение, заровено в коментар в един от таблата за съобщения. Просто копирайте cacerts файла от инсталацията на Java 7 и презапишете този в инсталацията на Java 6. Вероятно е най-добре първо да направите резервно копие на файла cacerts, но след това просто копирате новия и БУМ! той просто работи.
Обърнете внимание, че всъщност копирах файл cacerts от Windows върху инсталация на Linux и той работи отлично.
Файлът се намира в jre/lib/security/cacerts
и в старата, и в новата инсталация на Java jdk.
Надявам се, че това ще спести часове наред на някой друг.
Натъкнах се на този проблем, чието решаване отне много часове проучване, особено при автоматично генерираните сертификати, които за разлика от официалните са доста сложни и Java не ги харесва много.

В общи линии трябва да добавите сертификата от сървъра към сертификатите в Java Home.
InstallCert
и го изпълнете, докато сървърът работи, като предоставите следните аргументи server[:port]
. Не е необходима парола, тъй като оригиналната парола работи за Java сертификатите ("changeit").jssecerts
в директорията, в която сте изпълнили програмата (ако е изпълнена от Eclipse, тогава се уверете, че сте конфигурирали работната директория в Run -> Configurations
).$JAVA_HOME/jre/lib/security
.След като изпълните тези стъпки, връзките със сертификата вече няма да генерират изключения в Java.
